Print This Page Future of Grampian Held in the Balance
UK - Grampian Country Food Groups, the largest supplier of poultry meat in the UK, still has its future in doubt after being riddled with concerning debt problems.According to FarmersGuardian, the tipped front runner to acquire Grampian is now an even bigger Dutch contemporary, Vion, although there has been interest from Brazilian company Sadia and a private equity group.
Grampian handles around three million chickens each week but also processes beef and lamb (McIntosh Donald, St Merryn Food Group and Welsh Country Foods) as well as pork (Broxburn).
