Former Poultry Workers Plead Guilty

US - Nineteen former poultry plant workers arrested in a raid targeting unauthorised immigrant workers at Pilgrim's Pride plants nationwide have pleaded guilty.

Houston Chronicle reports that, on 10 July, the group from East Texas entered guilty pleas in federal court to charges of misuse of a Social Security number and were sentenced to time served.

All the workers were turned over to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement for deportation.
