Print This Page Livestock Market Visits 2009 Announced
UK - Defra's livestock market visits are underway again, starting in Exeter and Hexham, on 13 March 2009. Defra’s representative team will visit 73 livestock markets across England during March – May 2009.
The livestock market visits give farmers the opportunity to speak with Defra representatives who are on-hand to answer queries about new legislation and disease prevention. They can be easily found on the market visit day as they will be wearing Defra branded clothing.
Farmers can come along to ask questions on a range of issues, including Bluetongue, the Nitrates Directive, Electronic Identification of Sheep (EID) and Responsibility and Cost Sharing.
