Print This Page Bulgaria Reports Two New Cases of ND
BULGARIA - The veterinary authorities have sent a report to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) about two new cases of Newcastle disease (ND).
The Bulgarian veterinary authority sent Follow Up Report No. 1 to OIE dated 25 May.
The cases were at Vojdovo in Kardzali province in the south of the country, and at Mamarchevo in Jambold province in the south-east. Both outbreaks started on 3 May and in backyard flocks. In total, 257 birds were involved, of which 135 were affected, 102 died and 144 were destroyed.
