Print This Page GB Animal Feed Statistical Notice - February to April 2009
UK - The latest national statistics on Great Britain's output of animal feed for the months of February, March and April 2009 have been published by Defra.
The highlights of the latest report are as follows:
- In April 2009, the total GB retail production of animal feed was down 14.2 per cent compared with April 2008.
- In the same month, the total GB raw material usage in the retail production of animal feed was down 14 per cent compared with the corresponding month last year.
- In April 2009, the total GB integrated feed production was down 2.2 per cent compared with April 2008.
- For the period October to December 2008, quarterly average prices per tonne of animal feedingstuffs were the following:-
- Cattle and calf feed - £199
- Pig feed - £209
- Poultry feed - £212
- Sheep feed - £187
