Grupo Frangos Canção is one of the fastest growing broiler integrators and poultry meat exporters of Brazil. The company, based in Maringá in Paraná state, was established in 1992 and processes 210,000 broilers per day. Frangos Canção is one of the leading partners of Unifrango, an association of 19 Brazilian poultry producing companies, whose combined output ranks number one in day-old chicks and number 3 in slaughtering in the country.

The new single-stage hatchery of Frangos Canção will expand yearly production capacity to 70 million day-old chicks. The hatchery will be equipped with the latest Petersime BioStreamer incubators fitted with Embryo-Response Incubation technology. The BioStreamer 24S setters hold 115,200 eggs. The BioStreamer 8H hatchers have a setting capacity of 38,400 hatching eggs each.

Ciliomar Tortola commented: "Since Frangos Canção is a totally integrated broiler meat producer, the main reason for us to buy Petersime's BioStreamer technology was the by far highest performance in the market. This not only in terms of hatchability, but – even more important for us – in terms of broiler performance. The considerable energy savings and shortest hatch window due to the Eco-Drive and Synchro-Hatch technologies were decisive as well.

"With our Frangos Canção products, we are competing worldwide and therefore we need to be extremely efficient in all steps. There is no doubt that incubation technology will further evolve in the future. However, Petersime incubators are future proof. Our BioStreamer incubators are designed and built to easily integrate future innovations, so we will always remain in the lead in terms of technology."
