In a voice over commentary, the video takes exception to the way poults not fit for production are disposed of, among other practices, reports Meatingplace.

“Willmar Poultry Company is committed to ensuring the health and well-being of its turkeys by adopting and following the National Turkey Federation's science-based Animal Care Guidelines and its Turkey Industry Principles,” the company states on its website.

Willmar Poultry Company President Richard VanderSpek said in a statement that the video depicted "the actions of some employees that violate the company's animal welfare policies," according to CNN. "We condemn any mistreatment of the animals in our care and will take swift action to investigate and address these issues. Willmar Poultry will also review its policies, procedures, employee training and site monitoring to help ensure that our employees understand and follow company animal welfare policies and procedures."

Willmar Poultry produces about 45 million commercial eggs annually. It hatches over 30 million poults at the Willmar hatchery and over 15 million poults at the Foley custom hatchery. The Willmar hatchery is the largest in the industry and typically delivers over 600,000 poults weekly to customers, according to the company website.
