According to Daily Trust, the product is meant to ensure better growth, performance, increased production and to check early chick mortality.

Technical Commercial Manager of the organisation, Dr Praful Kumar, said the introduction of the product will also enhance nutrient utilisation and assimilation in day-old chicks.

He explained that the product is aimed to help farmers overcome problems faced by their nelwy hatched chicks, which, he said, include retarded growth that negatively affects the performance of broilers at later stages, adding that administering the new product on the newly hatched chicks would guarantee sustained uniformity and longer peak production among them.

In his address, Chairman of the occasion, Professor Sharubutu Garba, described the scientifically developed chick food as a welcome development to poultry farmers, saying that it is unfortunate that the government pas little attention to the agricultural sector.

"The NGO has proven to us that it is not only interested in marketing their products but also improving the economic growth of the country," he said, according to Daily Trust.

Also speaking, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the NGO, Adejare Adeniyi, said that the product has been launched in Ibadan, Lagos, Warri, Enugu, saying that the team will move from Abuja to Kaduna with the aim of reducing cost and increasing quality production for poultry farmers in the country.
