Registration is Open for IPC Meeting

GLOBAL - The International Poultry Council (IPC) will hold its next meeting in Africa, for the first time. The meeting take place in Livingstone in Zambia on 16 to 20 October 2011.

Poultry organisation representatives from around the world will gather in October when the International Poultry Council (IPC) holds its fall conference in Zambia, marking the first-ever IPC meeting in Africa.

The meeting is scheduled for 16 to 20 October 2011 at the Royal Livingstone hotel in Livingstone, Zambia, which overlooks the famed Victoria Falls.

The Southern African Poultry Association (SAPA) will be the host organisation for the meeting.

SAPA CEO Kevin Lovell, said: "Our conference programme is expected to have a number of interesting speakers to talk on the potential that Africa has for poultry producers and exporters in the coming decades. By the end of this century, there will be over 3.6 billion people in Africa, all wanting to eat our wonderful products."

Members of the respective IPC member countries will also give status updates of the poultry industries in their home countries.

More than 20 countries are represented in the IPC's membership.
