Talks Held in Warsaw over Veterinary Issues

RUSSIA & EU - Three-day talks between the representatives of veterinary services of the European Commission and individual countries of the European Union and representatives of veterinary services of the Customs Union Commission – Russia and Belarus - were held in Warsaw, Poland.

The delegations agreed that previously reached accommodations laid down in memorandums and protocols signed by representatives of the Rosselkhoznadzor and the corresponding Directorate General of the European Commission remained still in force and should be signed again at the level of the European Commission and Customs Union Commission.

Consultations were held concerning animal waste procession and utilization in the EU countries. Based on the information obtained harmonization of Russian and European approach to regulation of import, export and circulation of protein feed of animal origin is to be carried out in the nearest future.

Previously started agreement of new models of veterinary certificates certifying safety of animal products exported from the EU to the CU territory was continued at the negotiations.
