New Ross Grandparent Customer in Pakistan27 September 2012
PAKISTAN - A grandparent contract was signed in Lahore on the 6th of September by Dr Anwar M Randhawa, Chairman of Hi-Tech Group during a visit by Robin Singleton, Ross Customer & Technical Service Manager for the region.
Hi-Tech has been a parent stock customer for a considerable period and developed an understanding and an appreciation of the Ross 308 with several successful flocks in their operation.
The Hi-Tech Group is a well established organization, starting in the field of poultry and feed manufacturing in 1985 and has grown to currently produce about 100 million day old chicks per year, holding 10-12 per cent share in the Pakistan market. The company will do business under the banner of Hi Tech GP Poultry (Pvt) Ltd following its agreement to become a Ross grandparent customer.
The initial GP delivery occurred at the same time as the formal signing of the agreement and is a reflection of the sound working relationship that has been developed with this customer. The company plans to increase the second order as it ramps up production to serve a market where consumption is predicted to continue growing around 6-8 per cent in the next five years.
Dr Anwar Randhawa commented, “The Ross GP agreement between Hi-Tech and Aviagen forms a perfect platform to supply Ross 308 broilers to our many customers who are anxiously waiting for the availability of Ross stock. We are confident of excellent performance which will lead to further increase in our customer support.”
Robin Singleton said: “We are delighted to have a strong and long-term association with Hi-Tech and are extremely pleased that they have now decided to develop their operation by placing Ross 308 GPs. We look forward to having a long and fruitful cooperation with them as they continue growing their business.”
