ARMENIA - The large-scale export of eggs from Armenia to Georgia is unlikely to be restored, said Chairperson Zurab Uchumbegashvili of the Association of Georgian Poultry Enterprises.

Considering the fact that Georgia has completely passed to the industrial production of eggs, such trends will hardly occur, he told News.am.

A large-scale export of eggs was conducted from Armenia to Georgia up until 2010. Subsequently, however, this export had a situational nature.

“[But] now, the cost price of the eggs is virtually the same in Armenia and in Georgia, [and] therefore one another’s markets do not interest the poultry farms of our country,” Mr Uchumbegashvili stated.
