TFTA are delighted that a number of our turkey farmers received Gold Awards at the recent Great Taste Awards, including Copas Traditional Turkeys, Walters Turkeys and Appledore Turkeys. The Great Taste Awards are organised by the Guild of Fine Food and have been described as the ‘Oscars’ of the food world!

Golden Turkeys are dry-plucked and game-hung. Golden Turkeys come with a guarantee, the TSG, awarded by the EU, the Traditional Speciality Guarantee and as such can only be purchased direct from the farmers, farm shops and butchers.

Award-winning chef Rachel Green has produced five new recipes, including a Golden Turkey and Avocado Caesar Salad, Golden Turkey, Ham and Gruyere Pasties, Golden Turkey with Coriander, Feta and Pesto in Salt Baked Potatoes, Potted Golden Turkey with Ham and Parsley and a Roasted Golden Turkey Crown with Parma Ham.
