German Company to Buy Bulgaria's ‘Ludogorsko Pile’ Poultry Producer
BULGARIA – Competition commissioners have received a request for the acquisition of Ameta Holding by German poultry specialists Paul-Heinz Wesjohann Group.The Bulgarian processor owns the 'Ludorsko pile' brand of poultry and poultry products and the PilCo processing unit in Razgrad.
Media sources have said Bulgaria’s anti-trust watchdog will receive statements of opinion on the deal by third parties, expected by Friday, after which a statement will be issued on how the deal will impact the sector.
The German processor leads the German industry with an annual turnover of €2.3 billion.
