Pelayo Casanovas, general manager of Cobb in the Asia-Pacific region, said that Dr Jain had achieved ‘outstanding work at the Venco research farm in developing the Cobb 100, 400 and latterly 430 and retaining the major market share for several consecutive years in India’.

“The key decision that Dr Jain made was to develop a specific breeding programme in India,” he said. “He had to convince the geneticists at Cobb that selecting in that environment would be beneficial and time has proved him right.”

Pelayo Casanovas and Roy Mutimer, Cobb vice president of sales in the Asia-Pacific region / Europe / Middle East and Africa, travelled to Dr Jain’s home to make the presentation of the painting.
