After careful consideration of the comprehensive application dossier, Axcentive received the green light from the Greek authorities. Halamid® is approved as highly effective broad spectrum disinfectant for control of microorganisms and should be applied according to the instructions for use.

For veterinary applications

The approved label details how to use Halamid by simple spraying or nebulization. Furthermore the use in foot baths and for vehicle disinfection, using low and very cost-effective dilutions is making Halamid a truly universal product. While these instructions are mostly applicable to Poultry and Pig farms, Dairy farm owners will be interested to read that Halamid also has an approval for teat disinfection.

For food and feed area

High efficacy against bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Streptococcus faecium, Listeria monocytogenes, Salmonella spp, among others has been acknowledged by the Greek authorities. This is important to secure food safety.

Paul van Lenthe, executive director of Axcentive is glad to see this approval could still be obtained in 2016 and comments: “Registration procedures are different in every country, even in Europe where the BPR should be driving towards harmonization. The dynamic economic situation in Greece has brought about delays. This was disappointing for us, but we can only imagine how difficult it must have been for local farmers. We are glad we can now actively approach them with our Halamid®.
Halamid®, the powerful biocide against all major pathogens, is approved in more than 100 countries around the world. Axcentive is determined to continue working on approvals from all major poultry, livestock and aquaculture countries in the world.
