Key Points
UK broiler chick placings for December 2010 were 84 million birds and UK turkey placings were 1.1 million birds.
UK broiler slaughterings for December 2010 were 80 million birds and UK turkey slaughterings were 2.3 million birds.
UK poultry meat production for December 2010 was 148 thousand tonnes.
*December 2010 is a five week statistical month and therefore data are not comparable with December 2009.
