Philippines To Import 1M Kilos Of Chicken To Boost Supply
PHILIPPINES - Philippine poultry producers are importing one million kilograms of chicken to ease a shortage in supply and to stabilize prices, Trade and Industry Secretary Manuel Roxas said Thursday. He said the government's monitors showed chicken prices rose to 95 pesos ($1=PHP55.33) a kilo last week from PHP85 in September due to the low supply.
