U.S. Poultry & Egg Association Commits to Atlanta Through 2007 - ATLANTA - The Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) is pleased to announce that the Tucker-based U.S. Poultry & Egg Association (USPOULTRY) has re-signed their Atlanta contract for 2005, 2006 and 2007.

The International Poultry Exposition has been an Atlanta institution for more than 55 years and brings approximately 20,000 attendees and more than $22 million to the city each year.

"The market is fiercely competitive and a show of this size and prestige is actively pursued by all major markets," said Spurgeon Richardson, ACVB president and CEO. "It speaks to our infrastructure, service and relationship with the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association that the association has re-committed to Atlanta for another three years."

"There is a strong poultry industry presence in the Southeast," said USPOULTRY President Don Dalton. "Atlanta offers our attendees ease of access to a dynamic city. We appreciate the opportunity to contribute to the city's tourism economy."

Established in 1913, the ACVB is a private, nonprofit organization created exclusively to market metro Atlanta and Georgia as the premier conventions, meetings and leisure destination in the regional, national and international marketplace and to favorably impact the Atlanta economy through conventions and tourism.
