Montana egg farmers few but surviving

MONTANA - As Mad Cow Disease sends chills down the spine of America's beef industry, a chicken disease has inadvertently given Montana egg producers a boost. "The cost of eggs has gone up dramatically," said Todd Gahagan, chief of Montana's Milk and Egg Bureau. Fewer birds means fewer eggs and that has led to higher prices.
