CPA Poultry And Egg School Wide Ranging

BAHAMA'S - The Caribbean Poultry Association’s Poultry and Egg School got off to a successful start with a range of high-powered and relevant presentations by professionals from the US government, University of Florida Poultry Nutritionist, Dutch Egg Marketing Expert, a number of poultry veterinarians from the University of The West Indies School of Veterinary Medicine and a detailed lecture on The Pluck Shop, the traditional channel for the distribution of broiler meat.

The School is demonstrating to those engaged in this agribusiness that it cannot function in isolation and that it must operate within the ambit of the realities of the rules of international trade in Agricultural products which are governed by the World Trade Organization (WTO).

The Bahamas is represented at the CPA School by Mr. Justin Taylor, the manager of the College of The Bahamas (COB) Poultry Unit and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gibson of Diamond Farms, a broiler operation on Fire Trail Road. Also in attendance is Mr. Godfrey Eneas who is representing egg producers as well as assisting in the organization of the School.
