China Broiler Market Weekly - CHINA - In this weeks China Broiler Market Weekly, eFeedLink report that AA broiler prices rose while those of China breed broilers declined in most regions except for Henan in the week ending Feb 22.

Market analysis

AA broiler procurement increased as traders replenish stocks to meet increased demand with the reopening of school term after the festive holidays.

Broiler export volume from the provinces of Liaoning, Shandong, Jiangsu and Henan was still relatively low. However, sellers in Jiangsu were more active in procuring AA broilers.

Hong Kong's bird flu cases continued to affect demand for China breed broilers from Guangdong province and Guangxi Zhuang Region. Broiler prices in these two regions declined sharply on lower consumption.

Prices of China breed broilers were up in Henan province on lower stocks and reduced market supplies. Currently, prices are moving higher along with the AA broiler prices.

Market forecast

During the week in review, limited supplies and increased procurement lifted AA broiler prices, which help to bridge its price gap with China breed broilers. In the week ahead, upside in AA broiler prices may be limited.

With little shifts expected in demand and supply of China breed broilers in the next two weeks, prices are likely to remain sluggish.
