UK - More than 100 jobs could be lost at an Aberdeen chicken processing factory. Grampian Country Food Group has announced it is pulling out of the frozen chicken market.

The decision puts 111 jobs on the line at the group's factory at Bucksburn, the only plant where the company processes frozen chicken.

A company spokesman said the decision to discontinue frozen chicken followed a downturn in demand, but the exact job implications were not clear.

Grampian Country Food Group said the downturn had forced a review of that side of its operations.
