A large protest is expected at County Hall in Norwich on Friday as county councillors decide whether to support Banham Compost in its attempt to revise plans relating to the site at Clayhall Farm, Great Witchingham - between Fakenham and Norwich.

Coachloads of people are being taken to the meeting to voice their views.

Councillors will be recommended to support the variation to an existing planning permission - but opponents are vowing to fight on and threatening a legal fight.

Banham wants to process 300 tonnes of waste a day and insists the plant is vital for the region's £2bn poultry industry
