"We’ve noticed that our consumers are educating themselves about raising practices and about what really goes into their chicken."
Bob Wolfe, Vice President and General Manager of Draper Valley Farms.

This Pacific Northwest Company is now adhering to a stricter criterion with its products as Draper Valley Farms chicken is now labeled as being fed a vegetarian diet and raised with no antibiotics, no added hormones and no preservatives—ever.

“Draper Valley Farms has always been known for our outstanding product,” says Bob Wolfe, Vice President and General Manager of Draper Valley Farms. “We’ve noticed that our consumers are educating themselves about raising practices and about what really goes into their chicken. As a result, we’ve raised the standards for our practices. We’ve always offered Natural chicken—now we’re offering only the best Natural chicken to our customers.”

The Natural label means that the product contains no artificial ingredients and has been minimally processed. Draper Valley Farms has taken another step and is raising chickens without antibiotics, with no animal by-products, added hormones or preservatives. The product is being distributed in newly-designed packaging highlighting that the chicken is:

  • Fresh Chicken
  • Northwest Grown
  • No Antibiotics…Ever!
  • NEVER Fed Animal By-Products
  • 100% Vegetarian Fed
  • No added hormones
  • No artificial ingredients

Founded in 1935, Draper Valley Farms Inc. raises and processes chickens which are then sold across the Pacific Northwest. Mount Vernon-based Draper Valley´s chickens are found in meat and deli cases. The company also raises and sells free-range chickens under the Ranger label.

Draper Valley Farms has been converting its operations in order to provide this new standard of Natural chicken since October 2007.
