Santi Virojborisut, advisor of the egg producers cooperative in the province and the owner of Sor Siri Farm, said orders have been made for Thai eggs. But as the orders are relative small, they have not yet influenced the local prices.

The Nation reports that chicken eggs are priced Bt2-Bt2.40 per unit. Chachoengsao produces 5 million eggs a day, nearly 20 per cent of the country's capacity of 27 million. Thailand's egg demand is 25 million.
