New DVD on Salmonella Control for Egg Farmers

UK - The Veterinary Laboratories Agency (VLA) has produced a DVD entitled Salmonella Control in Laying Hens.

Salmonella is the second most frequent cause of bacterial food poisoning in humans and as a result, the EU has decided that Salmonella Enteritidis and Salmonella Typhimurium must be better controlled on laying farms.

The DVD guides producers through the most important aspects of Salmonella control on the farm.

French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish versions of the DVD are available – but only in batches by special order.
