"On condition of having a permit to the export of meat to the EU, Ukraine may supply to Europe during a year minimum 10,000 tons of chicken and 5,000 tons of beef for about USD 30 million," Club experts say.

Moreover, in their opinion, a start of the export to the EU may promote investments in cattle breeding, which will suspend beef production decline, and will make it possible to further increase the production of chicken.

Depending on the situation in the market in coming years, the volumes of beef and chicken exports may grow, with a gradual development of the export potential on pork.

Experts of the SANCO Directorate-General for Health and Consumer Protection of the European Commission inspected in early June Ukraine's five poultry factories to consider prospects for the export of their products to the European Union member-countries. The results of the inspection are expected to some in July this year, reports Ukraine Radio.
