The series covered eight cities in seven days and covered an area with several hundred million layers. China is the largest egg producing country in the world producing some 40 per cent of total worldwide egg mass with approximately 1.3 billion layers in the country. The China egg market is divided among brown, tint, and white eggs at a ratio of 75 per cent, 20 per cent and five per cent, respectively. The Hy-Line Brown is the dominant genetic strain in the world's largest egg market.

Zheng Chunning, Hy-Line's regional business manager in China, commented: "The vast Chinese egg market is quickly evolving as producers invest in the latest production technology. At Hy-Line, we continue to strive to 'stay ahead of the curve' as egg producers continue to want more efficient and productive brown, white and tinted egg varieties."
