To further increase its leadership in the feed enzyme business, the DSM Nutritional Products and Novozymes Alliance has scheduled the launch of the new flagship product RONOZYME® NP, an enhanced phytase designed to meet the demands of modern animal production systems.

Ronozyme NP is the latest addition to the broadest feed enzymes portfolio within the feed industry provided under the umbrella brand Ronozyme. Ronozyme NP has been developed exclusively within the alliance of DSM Nutritional Products and Novozymes. The new phytase will benefit from the nine-year success story of Ronozyme P, which was launched in 2000 when the Alliance was first announced in Europe.

In addition to its proven, consistent performance in terms of phosphorus release Ronozyme NP meets the alliance's strict criteria in regard to product efficacy, safety, quality, traceability and reliability so to exceed the demands of today’s customers.

Based on the findings of several customer trials, Ronozyme NP (CT) further increases the availability of phytate phosphorus and other phytate nutrients in pig and poultry feeds, but also other minerals such as calcium, magnesium and trace minerals, whilst being the most heat-stable phytase product form in the market.

Improvements in heat stability are attributed to the higher intrinsic heat stability of the phytase molecule in combination with the next generation CT formulation technology. This combination of technologies provides unrivalled, protection at feed processing temperatures up to 95°C.

"We have seen a significantly higher efficacy of Ronozyme NP (CT) on phytate phosphorus in broilers and even better results, for pig feeds. I believe we are very well placed to cater for the increasing global demand for heat stable phytases", states Jean-Paul Ruckebusch, Alliance Manager at DSM Nutritional Products.

"Thanks to its new properties, Ronozyme NP (CT) is a highly cost effective phytase. Moreover, by being flexible and increasing the inclusion rate above the 'classic' dose, one can benefit from even higher profits and exploit the full potential of this very effective and efficient product", says Arne Korsbak, Market Development Manager at DSM Nutritional Products Europe.

Mr Korsbak adds: "With Ronozyme NP DSM Nutritional Products is expanding its offering to cover any feed manufacturing system. Ronozyme NP is available in a coated thermostable (CT) formulation for pelleted feed, in a granulated formulation for mild processing (M) such as home mixing, and in a liquid form (L) for post-pelleting application.

"Ronozyme NP will be launched in Europe with the continued strong support of our technical team our customers have come to expect," he said.
