New Book on Setting up Free-Range Poultry

AUSTRALIA - A new book has been published with advice on starting a free-range poultry enterprise, both for eggs and meat.

A guide for getting started in free-range poultry is now available through the New South Wales Government Bookshop. The 176-page book (AU$36) includes both meat and egg production, breeds, rearing, health, housing and nutrition. It also features nine case studies, including both egg and meat bird enterprises.

The publication, titled Poultry AgGuide – Getting started in free range poultry, was produced by Continuing Education, Tocal College in collaboration with, and funding support from, the Poultry CRC.
