Committee on Animal Health Holds Public Meetings

US - Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack has announced he will hold two meetings of the advisory committee on animal health to discuss matters of animal health, including the pending proposed rule implementing USDA's traceability framework and establishing an aquaculture subcommittee.

The meetings will be held in May and June and conducted as a multisite teleconference.

The next two meetings will be held on 13 May and 22 July from 12:00 noon to 17:00 (eastern daylight time) each day. The meetings will be open to the public, although public attendees will be joined to the meetings in 'observation' or 'listen-only' mode. Members of the public who wish to join the teleconferences may do so by dialing 1-888-790-3291, followed by a public passcode, 1411045.

Additional details regarding each meeting, including the preliminary and final agendas, will be posted on the committee's web site [click here] prior to each meeting.

Questions and written statements for the meetings may be submitted up to five working days in advance of the meetings for the committee's consideration.
