Founded in 1947 as a small family owned feed and seed business, Sanderson Farms became a publicly traded company in 1987. With its corporate headquarters in Laurel, Mississippi, Sanderson is a fully integrated company that produces, processes, markets and distributes fresh and frozen chicken products in the United States and around the world.

President and Chief Operating Officer, Lampkin Butts, will be Sanderson’s representative in the IPC.

IPC President Jim Sumner welcomed Sanderson Farms as an associate member of the organization, saying: “We are pleased to have another major poultry producer in the IPC. We now have 35 associate members from around the globe.”

Poultry industry associations in 24 countries are members of the IPC, which was formed in 2005.
