The US Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) Veterinary Services (VS) has restricted poultry imports, including commercial birds, ratites, avian hatching eggs, unprocessed avian products and byproducts, and certain fresh poultry products from the Canadian provinces of Saskatchewan and Alberta until further notice.

Bans are in place for specific zones, as listed on APHIS's website.

Restrictions are based on the diagnosis of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in domestic birds.
