Brazil poultry exports rise in October - Cepea

Prices paid hit lowest since February 2022

Exports of the Brazilian chicken meat - both in natural and processed products - increased from September to October, according to a recent market report from Cepea

However, prices paid for the product in the international market decreased last month, reaching the lowest level since February 2022.

According to data from Secex, Brazilian chicken meat exports totaled 401.7 thousand tons in October, moving up 1.1% in relation to the previous month. Shipments were boosted by the increase of purchases from several countries, especially Mexico.

In the first seven working days of November, the daily average of in natural chicken meat exported was at 21.3 thousand tons, 19.2% more than in October 2023 and 23% above that verified in November last year.
