India relaxes duties on frozen turkey - GAIN

US exports expected to grow by 35 metric tonnes

India's Ministry of Finance and Department of Revenue announced that is lowering import duties levied on frozen turkey (meat) and edible offal, according to a recent US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Global Agricultural Information Network (GAIN) report.

The announcement was made on February 19. The revised import duties were effective as of February 20, 2024. 

US-origin frozen turkey (meat) and edible offal exports to India are expected to grow to 35 metric tons in 2024 thanks to this tariff relaxation.
