Brazil egg exports nearly half from February to March - Cepea

Brazilian exports of eggs, including fresh and processed products, fell practically by half (-47%) from February to March, limited to 852 tons, according to Secex data compiled and analysed by Cepea

In the accumulated of the first three months of 2024, however, the result is positive for the sector: 4.3 thousand tons of the protein shipped, 18.5% more than in the same interval of 2023 and the 11th largest volume for a first quarter in the last 28 years. 

As for the domestic market, a survey by Cepea shows that egg prices have fallen sharply in the last week, in the face of weakened demand, still a reflection of the post-Quaresm period
