The aim of the PPC is to bring leading poultry companies, specialists and scientists from all over the world together on a regular basis in order to discuss new innovations and research findings. The members represent a cross-section of the poultry industry: incubation, breeders, biosecurity, veterinary research, automation, etc. Petersime strongly believes that egg incubation should be regarded as a link in the chain of poultry production rather than as an isolated process. The whole idea of the PPC is to provide an international forum for the exchange of knowledge that is valuable to all of the parties involved.

During the first PPC, topics such as chick transportation, biosecurity, poultry diseases, incubation parameters, hatching egg management, etc. were tackled by representatives from some of the world’s leading poultry companies.

The event incorporated academic research through to practical advice on industry practices as well as round table discussions and informal networking opportunities.

"From the enthusiastic feedback of the guests and speakers we can conclude that the PPC has a large support base from all of the parties involved," said Jason Cormick, Hatchery Specialist and initiator of the PPC.

"We are already looking forward to the next Poultry Performance Conference," he added.
